someone said this best in the espn boards.

the way the clippers are playing, there is no way, NO FREAKING WAY we have ANY shot of winning a round. we are going to get destroyed. they play with NO EFFORT, and we definitely cant count on maggette rite now, who by the way, sucks ***.

i am calling out the morons who say "i am so happy the clips lost so we can get the 6th seed." you are brainless bandwagon fans, so get out. we keep losing like this, it doesnt matter if we get denver, spurs, mavs, watever, WE ARE GOING TO GET CREAMED. the team is too damn inconsistent, on both ends. pretty much everyone except brand. kaman is regressing as fast as his hairline, and maggette brings his A game when we don't need it cuz we already got blown out by his lack of defense.

clips better start winning and get those 50 wins. otherwise, its gonna be ugly

The thing with Kaman is that he doesn't any one thing he's consistent at, but usually when his big games are big, they are BIG, and when his bad games are bad, boy are they BAD.

You'd like to think that he'd be able to instill more of presence on the game, but he doesn't do this, rather something dictates his success than him dictating it himself. Its seems depending on night of the week, opponent, home or away game, phase of the moon, he can be any number of the different Kaman's we've seen, good or bad.

I dunno, I dunno, it seems like we've only got 1 or 2 guys conistent right now, but mainly just Brand and that plain stinks. Man, it must stink not only to be expected to put up 20/10 every night, but also not knowing which one of your teammates is gonna show up on a given night.

I don't care if Mobley/Kaman light up for 20pts, 10brds or 5assists and highlight reel blocks and steels type of defense on a night if they're gonna be invisible on the next day. I'd rather have a guy bring 10pts, 5rbs or 3assists and solid defense EVERY night than it being some sort of mystery ball situation.

Actually the Clipps would be better off in the 6 seed than the 5 seed. SA or Dal are both superior to Den... But then again, I bett the teams under the Clipps are thinking the same thing.

I'm never happy when the Clippers lose and I'm the last person you can ever call a bandwagon fan....but I'm going to say, I truly believe this is part of Dunleavy's grand playoff plan. If you watch the games you can clearly see the clipps are the better team and can turn on the intensity when they want. They are a lock to enter the playoffs...50 wins yes that nice, but I'd much rather see them make a splash in the playoffs by going further than the 1st round and with playing Denver they have that chance. What good would 50 wins do just to get out the playoffs in the 1st round? The NBA screwed up the playoff system so until they change it lets use and ABUSE it. ....NOW if the clippers were REALLY trying to win these last 2 games...then I'd be DISGUSTED and yes we WILL GET CREAMED regardless of who will play in the 1st round. SO watch you call MORON
They gotta do something about the seeding. You shouldn't want to tank for a better seed.
the fact is, they don't need to tank any more.
the 5 seed is absolutely gone -- yes we have it tonight, but by early next week -- when memphis is rolling up wins against new york, charlotte and seattle and faces exactly four more playoff teams (we face playoff teams ten more times) it will be a distant memory never to be remotely approached.
so everyone who was worrying about how unfair it was that we'd have to face san antonio or dallas, don't worry, it AIN'T happening. now if we continue to play like this, one thing that absolutely can happen is a dogfight to try to hold on to the 6 spot. check out the schedules, folks -- there are teams with unbelievably cushy schedules and teams such as us with unbelievably tough ones...
i sure hope u guys dont tank. clippers probably play us better than any team in the nba! id rather play the spurs or mavs, lol!
It doesn't matter how many games the clips win or lose, or what seed they get. They need to be on a roll and on top of their game going into the playoffs. If they aren't, it won't matter who or where they play, they'll get butchered. I'd much rather see them taking on san antonio during a hot streak, than denver during a cold streak.
Even though tanking might be reasonable way to explain these strange losses, I still find it hard that any coach would ask his team to tank.
Playoff seeding doesn't matter if a team really wants to win, in the end, the road to the WCF or Finals will hold plenty of good teams.

I would understand it better if Dunleavy were trying to work in the bench more, or work new rotations and plays (is he?); having a team turn it on and off for games is too dangerous, especially for a relatively inexperienced team like the Clips. They're already short on consistency.
