Could of made it six and taken Kareem out... I mean Magic technically was in the 89 finals.

Pistons v Blazers

which technically is 25 years I guess but meanwhile why is Kareem listed? he didn't play in any finals series within the last 25 years

It didn't occur to me that 25 years only takes you back to 1990. Time flies. Alternatively, you could remove Kareem or Magic, replace him with Isiah, and I think you get all the way back to 1980.

or keep Magic and use Rodman? what if you use Horry? does he allow you to trim the list down even farther? not quite, he replaces Hakeem but doesn't account for all the Lakers/Spurs stuff

I don't think Rodman does anything for you because he wasn't on the first three Bulls teams, and Olajuwon also gets you the '86 Finals covered - he's why you don't need Bird in the picture to get back to '80.

as a Piston he buys you two years so swap him out for Kareem who as previously stated didn't play in any finals in the last 25 years anyway and you can get to 7 players, 29 years (because none of these guys was in the 90 finals otherwise)

Hakeem 86, 94, 95
Magic 87, 88, 89, 91
Rodman 89, 90, 96, 97, 98
Mike 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98
Timmy 99, 03, 05, 07, 13, 14
Kobe 00, 01, 02, 04, 09, 10
Wade 06, 13, 14

Wade is also required for 2011 & 2012. This spot could also be filled by Udonis Haslem.

Yes, but Rodman only buys you those two years, as does Isiah, and it makes more sense to call those Pistons Isiah's team than Rodman's.

shrug - Rodman strings more appearances together and threads through multiple teams

and I just realized that we actually have 7 guys 33 seasons since Magic was in the 82, 83, 84, and 85 finals as well

This seemed very appropriate for this thread. Gave me chills a few times. Great fan-made video.

I preferred Ginobili with long flowing hair.
