Untill he retires. If he's a requested player in a transaction, specifically a trade, which player is going to even replace him? NO ONE; Everyone said Kobe could, but he doesn't know how to play the "leader" role since he has a habit of playing 2nd option.

To early to call. Orlando needs a very good draft, a good trade, and maybe a decent free agent signing. If the team doesnt improve much or at all from this season, I wouldnt doubt nor blame Tmac for leaving next season.

Tmac will stay in Orlando as long as his options don't lead him elsewhere. Ultimately, he wants to win. The Magic have struggled during his tenure. They've had the good drafts(Gaines, Bogans, Miller), they've had the good trades(Gooden, & Giricek), they've had the good free agent signing(Howard, Strickland), yet none have made much of a difference. If they don't find a way to win before his contract is up, I'd expect him shop around.

You mind explaining how Gaines is a good draft and Howard is a good signing? Gaines doesn't even play; he can't. And Howard is a cancer that is keeping Gooden down. We haven't had a GOOD anything. Just average at best.

:nonono: Juwan Howard is a good player. Players have come to Orlando before and been labeled "Cancer" or not good for the team, but leave and show there worth on other teams. Maybe the team or the org is the cancer and not the players.

How easily Magic fans forget the hype over the signing of Juwan? There was no hype for Rod, but he's also been a fine asset to the team. Gaines was the talk of the town after the draft and he gets no burn, but Bogans has started a few games and played very well. You had a good draft, with Mike Miller who was the Rookie of the year, and one of Tracy's favorite teammates and what did they do, trade him away.

So many excuses. Howard is keeping Gooden down? How? They both get there minutes, and both post good numbers? Seriously, what did you expect from Juwan Howard? He's mostly played on teams without superstars where he'd post 17 and 8, now he gives you 15 & 7 and that's enough. It's not like you thought he would come in and give you 20 & 10? Between him and Gooden, you get 28ppg & 15 rebound, that's not bad at all.

IV,
I have to disagree in regards to Orlando having "good drafts." Orlando's decisions in recent drafts have been downright awful, with the slight exception of Mike Miller. Sasser, Hunter and Gaines of late have not been smart choices, with far better options going later in the draft. Keyon Dooling was also a bad choice (by the way, do the Clippers still owe us that 1st rounder?). The Magic have in no way utilized their mid first-round draft picks over the last 3 years, and I'm sure that this has to bug McGrady.
McGrady will stay if, and only if:
A. There are no good teams with cap space in 2005.
B. Orlando finishes next season with a losing record.
C. If somehow Gabriel makes another blunder of the high pick we will get this year.
D. If McGrady really cares about getting a ring, and not playing at home.

Yeah, but shooting like 42% combined for your Power Forwards is bad, especially when they're your 2nd and 3rd scoring options.
