Trading Jamison

I'm a little bored so I thought of a hypothetical situation. Would the Wizards be a better team if they traded Antawn Jamison for a shooting guard/small forward like Paul Pierce or Joe Johnson. I'm not saying the either team, Boston or Atlanta would comply, I'm just wondering if hypothetically the Wizards would be a better team? I'm wondering how many other shooting guards or small forwards would make the Wizards better or worse off. Remember, the Wizards did bench Jamison for Calvin Booth for all people although Jamison has played at a high level since then.

I don't see why you guys think you need more athletic, perimiter players.

If anything, you should look to move Jamison for a decent post player, as those are completely non-existent in Washington. A good fit would be somebody like Eddie Curry or something...

The Knicks are probably dumb enough to do it, too.
Is Jamison really playing that bad? Wow...
Actually he is playing well. He is averaging 20.4 ppg and 9.4 rpg. I think he is a black hole defensively and somebody who plays interior defense may be a helpful substitute.

The Knicks would actually do it. For instance by trading Curry, Rose, and a pick they would justify the trade by saying they would get the best player in the deal. Curry and Haywood aren't exactly the best of friends though. I'm also questionable if Curry is what this team needs, even Jamison is a better rebounder than Curry.
Why would the Knicks trade Curry when they gave up a potential 1st overall pick and a couple more first rounders to get him? O my bad.. they're the Knicks.
That's the last thing the Wizards want to do is trade Antawn for a guard. What the Wizards need are big men. Etan and Brendan have been playing well lately, but I'd like to see them get a big guy who can rebound AND score. We have Gil, Caron, and Antonio, so we don't need any guards or perimeter shooters.
Well, the Wizards do need a two guard, and they have inserted Calvin Booth (a stiff IMO) over Jamison at one point in the season. Overall, the Wizards may be better because of their defense since Jamison makes other players have career days whenever he guards them. Maybe the Wizards can acquire a power forward like Nene to defend the post or perhaps insert Andray Blatche in his place.
I think we should experiment with this lineup:

PG: Gilbert Arenas
SG: Caron Butler
SF: Antawn Jamison
PF: Andray Blatche
C: Brendan Haywood

This has Caron and Antawn moving up into the positions they act like they play anyways. It also has Daniels coming off the bench to give us a spark. Blatche has a ton of potential and I think he could be a great player. He can shoot, dribble, pass, contest shots, and rebound. The more playing time he gets the quicker he will develop. But Eddie Jordan has a problem with developing young players. He likes to stay with what works, no matter how good it is working.
