I would not say VCU was uninspired. They are just a bad offensive team. They went 0-9 from 3 in the 2nd half and 10-20 from the line while missing the front end of four one and ones. I don't know how it was a 4 point game. They have only really shot the ball well in about 3 games the entire season. I have no idea how they are in first place with 18 wins but it has to be that they do play inspired. Not sure how they would win otherwise. Dayton killed VCU with two guys. Camara and Holmes. Carmara imposed his will fighting for corners to get to the rim and he hit some threes too. Also pulled a bunch of rebounds. Good win for UD. Now it is time for me to forget about it.

Yeah, Toumani and DaRon combined for 37 points and 28 rebounds, 11 were offensive boards. That’s tough to beat and VCU almost pulled it out at the end.

Grant coached a good game as well.

UD’s defense has been able to hold Ace in check which is the key against VCU.

Pretty uninspired game by VCU. Flyers were already seriously depleted, then Blakney twists his ankle in the first half after missing the prior game and can't go. Mongolian Mike fouls out in 9 minutes. Malachi was unavailable. Holmes eventually fouls out. Washington and Baker transferred over Christmas. I think UD was down to their last 5 scholarship guys. I was waiting for AG to pull a Norman Dale if it got any worse.

Have you ever seen a team try to piss away more games in the last 2 minutes than Dayton? Elvis was more like Elvira tonight.
