#1- Crawford,Erob,Fizer for Eddie Jones,Rasual Butler, future #1

Miami gets rid of Jones' contract, a young PG so Wade can slide over to SG and they are able to keep Caron Butler who Riley really likes. They also get an expiring deal in Fizer and a player in ERob who could be a good bench player. Riley actually likes him from that performance he had in playoffs against him while with Hornets. Chicago gets a vet SG who can defend and still can score 20 on a consistent basis. I thought EJ would start to decline by now but he has not. They also lose Erob deal. They do not get Caron Butler but Rasual is a very solid bench player and Caron's knees might be a big problem. The pick is just to even trade out a little.

#2- Sign Hedo Turkoglu with the MLE.

With Spurs intent on bringing back Manu they will let Hedo walk. I for one have always been intrigued by Hedo and would like to see what he can do when he is a starter fulltime in this league at SF. He is long, can shoot, and has a LOT of playoff experience. With the defense of Kirk and EJ we would be okay with him at SF although he is not an awful defender himself.

2004-05:

Hinrich,Brunson,Williams
Jones,R.Butler,Dupree
Turkoglu,Pippen,Jeffries(or Smith if we cut Jeffries)
Chandler,JYD,Austin
Curry,Davis,Blount

Not bad but not good either.

Does Turkeyglue even play? I'm sure there's a better small forward out there in the FA market.

Yes Hedo plays some about 20 minutes a game or so. He has always had a role like that just I have always wondered what he could do as a starter. There are other FA SF's like Miles or Mo Pete but Hedo would be a better fit alongside Jones in this scenario. We would still have R. Butler,Pippen, and Dupree who could give us minutes at SF in addition to Hedo.

Curry and Crawford could get you Rashard Lewis or better. While we are down on Curry, his value around the league is still very high. Teams feel that its not so much his fault, but rather the Bulls fault. And I tend to agree. 3 years in the league, 3 coaches, 2 GMS, lord knows how many GMs. Do a deal with dallas. Give them the 3 Cs and Davis for Dirk and Najera. They want to shake that team up

I did not say anything about trading Curry just JC. Breaking them up might not be a bad idea.

a man can dream cant he?

Dirk is a center piece. A team of

Dirk
Najera
Emeka
Hinrich
Dupree

Not great. But not bad. Dirk would probably be the best player in the east not named Tracy or Lebron. Would have to add some FAs. But a start

I don’t believe that we could find a good trade with any NBA team, so we need focus on getting the first round draft picks instead.

We should trade Eddy, Jamal, Fizer and cash - for two future first round picks, not higher than ten.

I like how Pax is selecting the young players.

KH is the man !

I think I am one of 3 fans of Hedo Turkoglu on this board. He has had a nice stretch of games recently stepping in nicely as Manu has been hurt. While his defense isn't stellar, his a very good rebounder for a 3 (he's 6'10" folks) and can still light it up from the 3 point arc. He is shooting 40% from the 3 point arc this season and 37% for his career.

This being said, will he get offered the full MLE somewhere? This remains to be seen. I think Pax is high on him and he even briefly considered trading the #7 for him last season. So Hedo stands a chance at being a Bull next season. IMO San Antonio does not match any offers at or near the MLE.

I am with you SD I really am interested in seeing what Hedo could do as a everyday starting SF. But I think we need a real SG like Jones to go along with him on the perimeter. A Hinrich/Jones/Hedo trio is very nice.

This article goes into Riley saying they need to address the PG position and center position. Bullhawks trade certainly addresses the PG position with Crawford and then the expiring contract in Fizer along with losing Jones' contract may help them get a FA center this summer. Riley said in the article that they are building around Wade at SG, Caron Butler at SF, and Odom at PF, hence the need to address the PG and C spots. He also said the bench needs improvement something Erob could bring. This makes a lot of sense to me.
