"We don't think it's anything serious with Ekpe, but we are very deep there," Skiles said. "We are going to play at least two or three games without him and see where it goes.

"We'd like him ready for opening night (Nov. 2 in Boston). We'll just go by what the doctors say."

The Bucks play the first of four home preseason games Saturday night as they meet the Detroit Pistons at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. They also play games in La Crosse and Green Bay in addition to the annual MACC Fund Game, to be played Oct. 20 on the Bradley Center floor.

Udoh was injured in the fourth quarter Tuesday while racing back to block a layup attempt by former Bucks forward Jon Leuer. It was a spectacular swat and one of eight blocked shots by the Bucks in their 97-80 victory.
