So looking at the other 7 teams' schedules for the Jamaica Tournament, the big schools except Utah St are playing two small schools, Utah St is playing only one small school, EMU (listed as a small school) and Nichols are playing only one big school, and NCA&T are playing two big schools. Something tells me UMBC got double-booked, originally scheduled to go to Utah St for that first weekend of the season, but instead has to go to FGCU for the return game.

That's BS that Owens isn't eligible. Maybe his family should've gotten a lawyer like that spoiled brat Tate Martel.

I have seen some of those schools' schedules, like Utah St, San Diego St, and Fresno St. I'm still holding out hope for that west coast swing.

It’s interesting that Spasojevic got a waiver and L.J. didn’t.

Winning them all would be the best thing for the conference so I'm all for it.

Jackson State
Louisiana Tech
NCCU
UMBC
UT-Martin

Western Illinois

In watching the soccer game against Liberty (leading 3-1 with just a few minutes to go), Paul Mittermier just said that the basketball team's official first game is against FGCU on the 9th, so I'm wondering if that Nov 5 game is an exhibition.

I think so. Apparently Manhattan backed out at the last minute which is why we are one of three teams left in Division I without a completed schedule.

Lol we were the very last one to release a schedule and ended up with three sub-D1 schools as a result. I know Manhattan pulled out at the end but I guess we struggle to find other peer schools to play us.

Well, this one I blame Manhattan. I genuinelly believe we tried to get another D1 on the schedule when the Jaspers backed out, but couldn't in time.

Also, it's 4 sub-D1's. That's not Penn St, that's Penn St. York.

The first is an exhibition fortunately.
