Great analysis, thank you for posting this. The final six weeks of the season were certainly disappointing after a relatively strong non-conference showing. In fact, after we beat New Hampshire on 1/21 we were 13-1 against Division 1 teams that would finish ranked 200 or below by Ken Pom, and from that point on we were 4-5 versus same. However, an 18 win season and 4th place finish is much better than I expected last spring when most of our potential returners were either in the portal or going pro overseas, and our only returners of significance were Obeng-Mensah, Boonyasith and Piccarelli. That kind of turnover usually means a major rebuild, but Ferry and coaches showed their recruiting capabilities and built a competitive team. Without strong recruits such as Fagan, Beaudion and Brown this year could have been a real disaster. Therefore, I am cautiously optimistic they can build the team again with some impact transfers and maybe a few freshman who are ready to make an impact. I'm thinking that Ace Valentine, combo guard for nearby nationally ranked Mt. St. Joe might be ready to contribute right away. I was very impressed with him in the game I saw on ESPN3 which was held at the Peake on February 26th and is still available in the ESPN Watch replay archives.
