We UVM fans are spoiled.

When was the last losing season for UVM?

14 seasons ago, 2005-2006!

UVM's record that season was: 13 -17.

Mike Lonergan was the head coach that year, his 1st year at UVM.

On the roster:

Martin Klimes (JR); 11.4ppg; 5.4rpg
Chris Holm (JR); 8.2ppg; 6.5rpg
Kyle Cieplicki (SO); 8.5ppg
Ryan Schneider (SO); 6.4ppp; 4.7rpg
Josh Duel (SO); 7.4ppg; 3.9rpg
Colin McIntosh (FR); 4.2ppg; 3.3rpg
Tim McCrorey (SO); 3.5ppg; 2.7rpg
Rob Sisca (FR)
Chad Powlovich (SO)
Joey Galloway (FR)
Jordon Dean (FR)

I try to remind myself of this periodically to keep myself in check. At this level, you’re always a couple bad recruiting classes or one bad coaching hire away from a long stretch at the bottom rung. We have been extremely fortunate as a fan base.

Some numbers to consider...this is the 20th full season since the start of the century, 9 games left plus the playoffs. In the 19+ seasons so far, our conference record including the post-season is 280-85. In the last 10 including this one, it’s 144-31. If we are able to participate in some type of post-season tournament this year, it will be the 12th year in a row and 16th out of the last 18. Yes, there have been a couple more NITs and CBIs in there than we’d like, but it‘s still an awesome run.

Remember that that team was our last under 500 team and still made it to the Championship game.

I think Trimboli really helped Vermont land Ryan Shields. The atmosphere was electric.
