The reports from his visit sounded very good and I believe he is a high priority for the staff. I also like that we're the only out of state option for him. I have a good feeling on him.

Getting him and (I'm hoping) either Donald Hand or Alphonzo Billups would be a great start for 2022.
Well, this worked out perfectly with Fermin and Billups. I am surprised to see Hand's final list as I would have expected more established programs, but I also have not followed up on him much.

With the new transfer rules, recruiting and signing will likely continue, but I'm thrilled with the two guys we got for the open spots.

Great gets. A mobile big man in Fermin and a 6'7 shooting guard. I am happy.

Our last five high school commitments have been:
6’4 (PG)
6’6 (SG)
6’7 (SG)
6’9 (PF)
6’10 (C)

VCU picked up a major piece for its 2022 recruiting class Tuesday — from right at home.
Alphonzo Billups, a 6-foot-7 shooting guard out of Varina High School in Henrico, committed to the Rams on Tuesday afternoon. The dynamic shooter and playmaker chose VCU over a list of final schools that included LSU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, N.C. State and Pittsburgh.

He’s VCU’s highest-ranked recruit since Bones Hyland in 2019. Billups carries a four-star composite rating from 247Sports and is No. 90 nationally in the site’s class of 2022 rankings. Hyland also was a four-star recruit and No. 81 nationally.

Only Bona's and Dayton (co-preseason champs) get all the discussion
Well, Bona has the majority of posters remaining on this board. And, Dayton has....

...well, Dayton has JAF.

Yeah. It's pretty lame. I don't know if it's because social media has killed the message board concept or if we (I) just suck and nobody wants to be around us (me). We used to have a bunch of guys from SJU, GW, URI, UMass, and Dayton.

I still see active boards for various topics. But Facebook doesn’t help.
But also having SJU, UMass, and GW at the bottom is hurting interest, too, I’m sure.

If Bona fans offered whiskey too all new message board recruits we might get more activity. I don't think we have to worry about recruiting violations here.

Hey there, I'm a Dayton guy, and Jon Boy, AA the sherpas and the rest of you don't have to worry about the Flyers in the 22 recruiting scene. They won't have any 'ships' available unless someone thinks he can play professionally or there are transfers (always a possibility these days).

He is correct, the Flyer’s don’t have a scholarship available for 2022 at this time. Flame away res.
