thats kinda a dissapointment i think, i was thinking that maybe this team would be in the top 25 to end the year, but 29 isn't bad at all.. just not as high as i thought we would be put to end the year. great year non the less obviously, but i don't get why we are all the way at 36th in the AP, that was our stronger one this year..

Sagarin's final rating has UVM at 37. AEast is ranked 18th (simple average) or 19th (central mean)

AND

I personally prefer Ken Pomeroy's rankings (http://www.kenpom.com/) to Sagarin's. He has UVM ranked 68th (!) and the AE ranked 19th. The ODU is ranked 71st and the CAA (sigh) 17th.

I thought Gonzaga and the WCC aren't considered mid-major anymore.

Collegeinsider.com considers them to be. That makes for an interesting debate though..

is the WCC a "major" conference?

- 5 time in 15 years that they have sent 2 teams to the big dance

BUT

they are the 7th ranked conference in the nation just behind the SEC and ahead of MVC, C-USA and MAC.

This is based on the RPI though March 13th (Thanks Ken Pomeroy) which also has AE ranked 15th and CAA 16th.
