Warriors: It looks like the team is ready to let guard Larry Hughes walk. According to the Contra Costa Times, the Warriors are not expected to tender Hughes a qualifying offer by the June 30 deadline, which means he will become an unrestricted free agent July 1. According to the report, the Warriors are dangerously close to the luxury tax and cannot afford to keep Hughes.

I wish there was a taker for the guy. We could use getting something in return. Hmmm, maybe before the draft, or on draft day itself

Very unlikely the Warriors can keep him. Unless, he gets packaged with another player that will basically clear both of their salaries. A release of Dampier, in my opinion, would be great. Saint just believes that Dampier has trade value. He does but not many teams want him with that max contract.
