No because he would of just sat on the bench behind Bibby and Jackson getting no playing time, and the hawks pick that they get will be better than any pick they will ever get.

Hmmm....let's see....should the Kings have taken a PG that would have be a wasted talent on the bench, or should they have taken a future lottery pick from the Hawks. I don't think that that is a very tough decision to make.

The Atlanta Hawks acquired guard Dan Dickau from the Sacramento Kings in exchange for a future first-round pick. The future pick involves Detroit's future first-round selection owed to the Hawks in the 2003 or 2004 Draft.
See, they won't get Atlanta's pick, they get a future Detroit one, which shouldn't be near the lottery. Also, don't forget, Indiana owes Atlanta their 1st rounder in next year's draft.

Bobby Jackson was a huge part of why the Kings got so far in the playoffs, Dan Dickau is not only unneeded he wouldn't fit in and be able to play at the same time Mike Bibby does unlike Jackson.

they were great last season should have beat the lakers they don't need anything this season next year they will need that pick they did the smart thing. bobby jackson is good why would they trade him and keep dickau? jackson is a proven scorer energy man why would they keep an unproven dickau?
