He's gone for the year. He'll get pins inserted and there will be a cast. He can't pitch with a cast since it'll distract hitters anyways (nevermind the pain)

He went to two doctors (including a hand specialist) and they suggested surgery. The break extends to the wrist! What an idiot.

Wow.

I guess there really was a lot of time left after 10.5 up on August 16.

So much for fouls to give, even with that payroll.

At first it said Brown hoped for a splint and that he would pitch. And i figured, if he was just gonna wear a splint on his non-pitching hand then he should be fine. But now it looks like he'll be sitting around for 2 months.

He said he'll return to the mound as soon his doctor allows, but there was no doubt in his mind it will be this season.

That might mean during the playoffs, assuming the Yankees make it, although it's still possible Brown could be out for the rest of the season.

Brown (10-4) could be fined or disciplined by the Yankees.

"Whatever actions they take, I'll handle it and I'll understand the team's position," Brown said.
That's IF the yankees make the playoffs. Red Sox might catch them and Anaheim might take the wild card. This makes red sox-yankees series so much more exciting
