I get a kick out of you rooting for seeding interests when all that matters is if your own team takes care of business.
By the way, I tuned into the 2nd half of the SLU/UR game on my MacBook last night. I am not sure why SLU packed it in allowing UR to take 3s.

Chance to get back into third with a win tonight. we should play angry after that atrocious performance Saturday. Our defense should be enough to win against a bad offense but the 30 years of deep and permanent scars are acting up. Jump on them like we did the Bonnie’s at home.

It's a new approach to basketball with Mooney out for a while. It has 3 components.
1 - Take 69% of your shots from behind the arc (37 of 54)
2 - Make 46% of those shots (!)
3 - Play at home, pay the refs, take 20 FT's despite most of your shots coming from deep, while only letting your opponent take 7 FT's.
Voila! Chalk up a W.

Yeah, I looked at the box score. It was crazy. The foul shots with shooting so many 3s was interesting. I was happy for Jason Nelson banking in that 3. He takes some flack but I think he is gonna be a great A10 guard in his junior and senior year. They need to surround him with some good players in the next couple years though.

I forget if they were both involved in the cheating scandals at Miami High or if it was just Martin.

I had never heard of that story. A quick Google search shows it was mainly Martin who took the fall. He had players on his team that were not in the school district. Udonis Haslem being one of those players.

I did not. Grant graduated HS in 1983. I graduated in 1989, so there was no overlap and I never attended HS games until I was in HS.
Miami in the 80s? Whoooa, baby! I bet that was something. Did you ever hang out with Jose (or Ozzie) Canseco?

Maybe because I don’t trust the Billikens “taking care of business”?
You missed the first half, which wasn’t bad as far as I was concerned. One of the complaints against Travis is that he doesn’t make adjustments. Maybe he didn’t think giving up 17 threes was a bad idea. I would think after the first 10 or 12 you might want to change up your D, but what do I know?, I’m not gettin paid $2.4 million a year to coach the Billikens.
