Fordham locks down at least the three seed with a win tonight. Tough spot for us: Mason playing very well and senior night. Our ball security has been horrible last few games, it’s why VCU hammered us and URI and Loyola were allowed to make those games close. Clean that up and we will be around late to get the win.

Man, if we do as expected (and lose) then we'll have a season where both Duquesne and Fordham hit 20 wins. Good for both of those programs, even though UMass ended up sucking a big one this year, happy to see them get some success.
Strangely enough, the Billikens lock up a double bye with a Duquesne win tonight. Don’t ask me how that gives us the double bye, maybe Ace knows. So I guess I will be rooting for the Dukes tonight. The way the Billikens season is going, that probably means the Minutemen pull the upset. Is Fernandes playing tonight?

No official word on Fernandes yet, so my assumption is no.

Thank you Coach Dambrot and congrats to the Dukes for beating the Minutemen and giving the Billikens the double bye. I know I called the double bye previously, but this time, I hope it’s for real. I guess I won’t believe it until the A-10 confirms it.

It is strange, but after juggling various scenarios in my head, it comes down to SLU being favored in all tiebreakers except if there had been a 3 way tie among SLU, GMU, and FU. Now that DUQ won, that can’t happen because those 3 cannot be the only ones that finish 11-7 anymore ; it would involve at least one other team. Any ties at 11-7 that SLU would be involved in land them in 4th place at worst.

edit: just laid my head down and then suddenly realized that an 11-7 tie with FU and DUQ, does not favor SLU, so now I’m not sold on them having locked up a double bye. SLU is unfairly hurt by having to have played VCU twice since 0-2 is worse in a tiebreaker than 0-1.

Let's make it simple. If SLU and Fordham take care of business Friday and Saturday Fordham with be a 3 seed and SLU a 4 seed. If they both lose Duquesne moves up. If that happens with a SLU win over Dayton...SLU would be 3 and Fordham would be 5. Duquesne would move up to 4. UD is a 2 seed no matter what. Right?? Good luck with all the seeding scenarios over the weekend for the middle and bottom of the league. I think Bona was helped quite a bit last night.

Thanks Ace. No wonder I’m confused.

We’ve been concerned about how we are playing since the VCU game. It finally bit us last night. It will bite us again against Duquesne if it keeps up. I don’t like where we are right now.

I watched the game. The defense and intensity is there. Offense is struggling. Need to get your guys with height and length cutting and attacking the glass. I know the feeling of what is going on with FU. Just keep playing good D and it will keep you in games.

On another note, and more in line with the subject of the thread, why is Kim English allowed to run onto the court the way he did twice last night?
He hit more areas of the court than Judge mMy V did celebrating a national championship win, and the game wasn’t even over in English’s case.

Well, he had to keep his players away from those rabid Rams.

Fordham does body up don't they? 🤣 FU plays like bullies. Heck, when I met Ace & Rich I kept my distance. I did not want to catch an elbow.

Last night was good and bad for the Bonnies. They lost any chance of moving up to 7 but now they are in a scenario where they can win and 100% avoid the pillow fight. We could have a 5 way tie for 8th if things go a certain way.
