Discussion Starter #1
Sweets needs to start off games and we need to go to early like we did with Eddy Curry last year

Deng is a starter

So is Kirk

I don't think Duhon is starter quality per se but he should be playing 25 to 30 mpg and derserves to start as he's our best pure point and he can defend

Tyson and Andres really need to be coming from the bench

They are not starters ..they're specialists and as such they need to be played as such rather than as trying to pretend they are something they are not

Ben is a starter ..eventually as he and Kirk adddress aspects in their games that can pair them together..but there is a period that will be rough but they justy got to get through it

HELP WANTED

Two quality NBA starters

#1. A Veteran Defensive Starting Center that can play defense that can pair with Sweets and allow Tyson to come from the bench and roam between the two frontcourt spots

#2. A Veteran Starting guard that can generate offense out of their defense

Now that the Knicks have David Lee, Eddy Curry, Antonio Davis and Channing Frye, maybe we can trade for Jerome James. He is an anchor on defense like Curry was, big guy, very strong, long wingspan, just interrupts everything because he takes up so much room. He puts back on dunks good too! Or maybe we can trade Tim Thomas for that one guy on the Knicks that they only play 6 minutes.

Lol, you're a lousy comedian, buddy. Curry and anchor on defense in the same sentence is one of the funniest things that I have ever read in my life.

Where are all of the quality posters at on this site? Are they in hiding, or what? I expected much better than this.

anyone who says we should take on the contract of jerome james should not be allowed to post again. 6 million a year for 6 points and 4 boards? Oh, and its only for 4 years and he already 30! Maybe he could reach his potential at 34!

We need a pure center and a long shooting guard. There are many players out there who have very low contracts, that are under used in their teams, and that we could get for one of our 1st rd picks next year or maybe even a 2nd round pick for a few of these guys.

There are players in the league with real potential that we could get for cheap. Players like Araujo, Luke Jackson, Josh Childress, Kirk Snyder, Primov Breezec, Mickael Pietrus, Viktor Khryapa, Luther Head, ect. (all of these players are bench warmers or former starters that are 25 and younger)

all of these players fit within our system of team oriented defensive basketball. I don't know why you guys want to keep talking about getting these franchise vets (Pierce, Garnett). It will never happen, so stop talking about it! There are really good talent out there that just needs to find the right system. I think that is what Pax needs to be focusing on right now.

Jerome James is the sort of "anchor" people tie to themselves when they jump off bridges.

Jerome James is only an "anchor" if you place "w" at the front of that word.

This post is absolulately right. We have four players on our team that are legit starters in the nba. Ben gordon, kirk, sweets, and deng. IMHO these four should be starting with chandler who is a solide defender but has little to offer on offensive.

Skiles needs to get his head out of his butt and star his best players. You cant have chandler on the court matched up with another big man who cant score like the Songvaooli guy, who plays like a stiff.

And while i am at it Baslin needs to be playing. No wonder our D is so bad, the other teams starters play against our bench players so it should be no surprise we get off to slow starts.
