What if Jay and Jamal can't coexist and someone has to go? Since MJ loves Jamal and would have taken Jay #1 in last year's draft. Krause can see just how much MJ likes these guys. What do you guys think about Jamal for RIP Hamilton. This way MJ gets his point guard. We get a young vet who's gonna give us 18 to 20 every night from the 2 spot. I know some of you might think this is crazy with washington trading its best player. But look at it like this . The Wiz are gonna draft a SF. This moves Alexander to the 2 spot with MJ backing him up and closing the show. With Jamal at the point. And the Bulls will have Jay, Jalen, Rip, Tyson and Eddy in the starting lineup. We won't have any problems scoring points, but we are gonna be a better offensive than defensive team right now anyway. This way we can resign Best if a vet pg is needed.

At first when I looked at this..I thought "no way would this ever happen"

But after looking at it...it could happen. We traded our best player(brand) for a guy with POTENTIAL...maybe Jordan would do the same(trade their best player..for a guy with potential)

If Jordan thinks Crawford is that good, then he will do it.

I can't see Jordan and Krause making a deal anytime soon, particularly a deal where Jordan would take a ton of short-term heat (Rip for Crawford is one-sided at best) for a non-guaranteed long-term payoff.

Wiz just need to be patient

The Wiz will have around $12M to spend in the free agency summer of 2003

This is based on assumptions of not picking up Chris Whitney's $3.3M team option and signing two lottery picks this year and next ( at around the same position ) and two 2nd rounders ( this year and next )

Their greatest need is to draft a 3 and Caron Butler may just fall to the Wiz this year with a bit of luck depending on how the draft day shapes up with trades etc. They may offer Courtney to New York to trade up and be assured of Caron at #7 which is probably where he should be as I have maintained all along.

Anyway , the Wiz would go in to next summer with 13 players under contract at around $31M giving them around $12M to spend ( before exception spending if they so choose ) based on the assumption that the CAP will be around $43M - maybe

Anyway they are fairly well set across the board with Hayward and White at Center, Kwame and L8 at PF , Rip at SG and Lue at backup point.

Butler should really be their guy and the guy that they should sacrifice either Jahidi or Courtney to move up and tab. Drafting a JR Bremer type at point in the 2nd round this year and the best available swingman on the board next year ... makes any trade for Crawford now impulsive and unrealistic when you consider they will have $12M to spend next year to max out :

A choice between free agent point guards :

Gary Payton
Stevie Franchise ( if he doesnt reup the offer sheet in Houston if he is not chuffed about the Ming thing - which he has sent *****lies out that he isnt talking about how it will affect his game - Stevie goes home ? )
Baron Davis
Jason Kidd
Andre Miller

Not to mention that they should have around $8M to $9M to spend this year to have a run at Mike Bibby if the Kings do not want to come up with the scratch in the looming Luxury tax bill.

Bottom line ? All this Jamal stuff to the Wiz is premature and would be a hasty and imprudent move by Wiz Mgt when you consider the greater point guard spoils that are ther to be had now and next summer.

They should be hunting for bigger game with their cap position and where their most glaring hole will be before they become a complete side
