1. Trade Michael Olowokandi, Keyon Dooling, and Harold Jamison to New Orleans for Baron Davis, Jerome Moiso and Elden Campbell
the trade clears big cap for New Orleans and gets them a center who could average 20-11-2 in the EC.
2. Next trade Corey Maggette and Chris Wilcox to Detroit for their 1st pick via Memphis (2003 top 1 protected), Rodney White and Ratko Varda
3. then trade Marko Jaric to Denver for what Kiki Vanderweghe has been offering, their 2003 1st, a future 1st and an un-named filler (probably like Chris Herren or Ryan Bowen)
that gives them a lineup of:
PG Davis
WG Miles
WF Odom
PF Brand
C Campbell
key bench: Q, Ely, White, Piatkowski
and it gives two top 6 picks in 2003 which can be used for Malick Bidaine and James White, unless of course the Denver pick is #1 at which time Lebron James is a no brainer and then they still take Bidaine with the Memphis pick.
that gives a future lineup that realistically could look like:
PG Davis
WG Miles
WF Odom
PF Brand
C Bidaine
key bench: White, Ely, White, and Q is traded
or if they do get Lebron they can trade Odom or Miles to make room.
I know you think it isn't realistic but if you go step by step it works, and as for the BD trade, Campbell is viewed by NO as a small negative because his salary busts their threshold.
