Sabonis sighting --- arena plans
Because people always want to know what's happening with him... the Euro League contacts tell me that Arvydas Sabonis visited the league headquarters in Barcelona today to talk about new arena plans for his club in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Sabonis reported that the 14,000-seat arena is being backed by the city of Kaunas and is expected to be open in early 2008.

I heard he made an offer to buy the team, but the City of Portland killed the deal by not giving his wife a free lifetime public transportation pass since she can't get an ODL...
