Hypothetical question.

You're Devean George, you've just completed your 3rd season in the NBA and you have three rings playing with two of the best in the league.

Do you stick around the Lakers for a good chance to be a part of more rings but for much less $$$ than some feel you're worth?

OR

Do you take whatever the highest bidder offers and move on?

I'd stick around. I'm already making a nice amount of cheddar and I'm playing with a great organization/players/etc. Fox may still have the starting role, but that doesn't necessarily guarantee that he's going to be here much longer and with his age, he may not be able to continue playing the minutes that he has in the past.

What would YOU do?

I'll be honest, I would leave.

He's not a ring hungry vet that's willing to sacrifice. He's already spoiled with sucess. He want's to prove what he can do with a bigger role.

Damn the Lakers for not picking up his option.

To tell you the truth, i would leave to show my skills on another team and try to help them win a championship.

If you leave you get more playing time and money-so it's pretty obvious what to do-especially when you have already won a couple of titles.

Since we don't know what winning an NBA championship or 2 or 3 feel like to a basketball player and since we also don't know what it's like to make millions of dollars (I am assuming all of us here make little less that that ;) ), it's a hard question to answer but if you twist my arm for an answer. I'd say take the $$$$.

George

Here's what I'd do if I were Devean George:

I'd sign a 3 year 7-10 million dollar deal with the Timberwolves. Minnesota is my hometown, and I love going back.

Then after my contract ends, I'd try and sign again with the team that's winning the championships (Lakers).

:D But that's just if I were him.
