Yeah, it was really sad. He was a genuinely nice person. Great player....at George Washington too. Had things been otherwise, might've ended up a decent 11th man, as an extra big body.

It didn't get much press. I think ESPN mentioned it on a Sportscenter, and the NY Post had a nice story, but that was about it, as far as I found.

Do you read the letters section? They've published about a dozen of mine over the last couple of years. Commented on Lynne Stewart and Mahmoud Abbas most recently.
