Don't the Celtics already have an abundance of guards? Off the top of my head they have, Rondo, Bradley, Terry and Lee. None of whom can really play the 3
So, Barbosa was the key to the 2nd seed? This is a joke. He doesn't move the needle for them. Don't see how they carve out any time for him when they're at full health.
It means that they can trade Bradley without taking a hit to their backcourt depth. And if/when Boston goes about addressing the necessary upgrade at the PF spot they're going to need all the trade assets they can muster.
Barbosa is highly underrated and your right he isn't going to change them from a 4 to a 2 but most of the east is unproven and with the bulls surely dropping off a bit Boston look like the most obvious team to step up to me. They were only a home victory away from the finals. Depth and ability to stay healthy are the only worries and barbosa helps with depth, if only a little
Barbosa is very good, and I would say this is a good signing for Boston, but like me is anyone else confused as to seeing where he will fit in the rotation to get minutes...?
Rondo, Terry, Bradley, Lee and now Barbosa
Yeh I don't think they would of beaten Miami, I mean they were in a position to close out at home and they all just played awful in that game 6, nobody could hit a shot. But yeh no way would you trade him he is an elite defender
