Personally I dont want him to stay a Clipper. He is solid but will demand to much dough that we could spread aorund to Odom, Brand, Qrich, and Dmiles. Personally I think a center that shoots that close to the basket should shoot a higher percentage. There is always a sign and trade and I think maybe Toronto fits the bill since Keon Clark is also a free agent.

Toronto trades a resigned Keon Clark and Chris Childs for Kandi. That probably would work under the cap with their new contracts.
Clipps lineup
1.Jaric/Childs/Dooling
2.Qrich/Maggete/Pike
3.Odom/Dmiles
4.Brand/Jamison
5.Clark/Rooks

Toronto Lineup
1.Williams
2.VC
3.Peterson
4.Davis
5.Kandi

I still CANT believe that the Kandi Man went #1 over Vince and Jamison!
And I can't believe Vince and Jamison were drafted over Nowitzki and Pierce. You can talk about numerous scenarios about who should have been taken where once they play in the league. At the time, Kandi was the right pick. He was a talented C, and he deserved to go #1 based on his raw talent. Obviously, it hasn't played out that way.

Obviously you didn't want much Kandi last year. He made HUGE strides, and with Brand, were the key reasons the Clips battled for the playoffs, even without Odom.

Is he worth the MAX? Hell no. Is he sorry? FAR from it.

Keon Clark and Childs makes sense, but Keon Clark is going to command his own pretty big salary, and I would assume Childs has a decent one too. I would bet both would add up to the exact same as Kandi's, and if thats the case, the Clips might as well keep Kandi.

Kandi will most definitely be a Clipper for this upcoming season. They will match any offer and he will play with them this season. But, he will be a UFA the season after, and who knows who'll sign him. For some reason, I think of Denver or Detroit when I think of Kandi going elsewhere.

Kandi would be a great addition to the Pistons thats for sure, but I really believe the Pistons are looking at signing Rasheed in the 2003 offseason. If this cannot happen, maybe they'll go after Olowokandi. But, when push comes to shove, I'd prefer to have Rasheed Wallace.

Olowokandi has been seen to have potential so I would take him over Keon Clark. Kandi probably demands more wage money then Keon Clark so for a team in need of some front court help and saving money for the off-season for 2003-2004 I would take Clark, offcourse.

I think Keon is a horrible deffender and all but Doc River would make him way more disciplined and it would work out. He can be a perfect kind of roleplayer, kind of like Tyrone Hill was for the Sixers in their great playoff run last season.

I know that Cuban is very interested in making a run at Kandi. It's no secret that Dallas needs a big man. Kandi made great strides in his developement this year. There is a rumor that has been going around Dallas that a sign & trade is possible. Dallas would sign & trade Wang, Greg Buckner to the Clipps for a resigned Kandi. Before you dog the trade check out how it benefits the Clipps.

First Wang will not make as much as Kandi. That should please Stearling. Even though he has said that he will keep the team together his history proves other wise. Second, Wang shoots a much better percentage than Kandi, and can stretch a defense with his shooting range. Third, he's a legit 7 footer. That means that he will be able to pull the opposing teams center away from the basket making things easier on Brand to dominate in the paint. Fourth, Wang has a HUGE following on the west coast. Stearling would be able to make a very large amount of money from a marketing standpoint simply by signing Wang. Fifth, the Clipps get Buckner who is a very good defender and energy guy off the bench. He plays the 2 so that would make it easier for the Clipps to use Maggette as trade bait.

There have been reports on Wang saying that he's going to defect. That is completely untrue. he is currently in LA getting ready for the summer league. The Chinese Gov. has all but said that he will also be allowed to participate in training camp. Wang himself has said that he may not return to the Mavs and said that he would perfer to play for GoldenState or the Clipps.

That's badass man. Who wouldn't want to have that lineup?
I would absolutely love it if the Mavs could pull off this trade. It would allow Raef to move back to his natural PF spot where he should be more effective. Dirk would move back to SF where he has a HUGE size advantage. He would need to work on his low post game though (which was one of his top priorities going into the offseason) to take advantage of his size at the 3. The combo of Raef and Kandi in the paint would be light years better than Raef, and Dirk in the paint. If they are able to pull something off like this all they would need is a year or two of playing to gether and they will be legit contenders for a title.
