What is your definition of talent? Athletic ability? Performance on the court? Basketball smarts?

If it is a combination of the three then I rate them

1) Bird (By far the best all around player of the group)
2) McGrady (Perhaps the best all around player in the game today...would draw tons of Bird comparisons were it not for the color of his skin)
3) Dr. J (Jordan before there was Jordan, though I'm not sure he would be as good today...I considered dropping him to # 5 but I hedged)
4) Nowitzki (A seven footer who has no offensive holes in his game...I believe he is capable of leading the league in scoring, he is an excellent rebounder and I hear is developing his passing game....watch out for him in the MVP race)
5) Garnett (A great all around talent, monster defensively and makes his teammates better.)
6) Pierce (Can be an absolutely unstoppable scorer when he is on)
7) Wilkins (See above)

I love Tmac's game, but at this point you HAVE to say Bird.

Finished his college career with avgs of 30.3 points and 12.3 rebounds

Won ROY with avgs of 21.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists

Career of 24, 10, 6 ...

Tmac and KG have the potential, but they cant touch Bird yet.. not sure how he did it, but he did.

Bird no doubt. He made it on the NBA on pure talent. He is one of the msot unathletic people ever, and was still one of the games greatest.

Bird is head and shoulders above the others. Everything he accomplished was done with pure basketball talent. No jumop out of the gym hops... just a great head for the game.

The rest.None of todays
guys deserve to be put
above the stars of the
greatest era in basketball.

None of today's players are
good enough.
