Pistons have to be the clear favorite. They just toy with the Heat usually, the Nets have split the season series but at this point taking the Nets over the Pistons would be a heavy dose of optimism. They've waxed the Spurs two times and that looks to be the team coming out of the west.

I really hope the Spurs win though. With LeBron taking a lead in the MVP voting, Chris Paul having the rookie of the year locked up, all I need to the Spurs to win the title and I pick up an extra 750 dollars. I could use that right about now.

Who gets the other 1%?
no suns?

I voted Heat, and as much as I want to believe in them, it is pure blind optimism.
I like the Mavs to come out of the West. Not sure if they can actually beat the Pistons, but they can definitely put up a fight.

why do the spurs look to be the team coming out of the west? mavs and spurs split the season series and dallas just beat the spurs in san antonio.

That would be divided amongst the other 32 teams. I don't deal with probablities too well.
The nets of course
Spurs will and not b/c of any player but b/c pop>flip

Spurs have a better record, are the defending champions, and have taken 3 of the last 7 titles. They know how to get it done in the playoffs. That's not to say the Mavericks can't beat the Spurs, but clearly the Spurs are the favorites.
Gotta go with Detroit on this one.
Lakers going all the way yo. you forgot to add them to the poll. :)

spurs are up by half a game(depending on the outcome tonight against memphis, but the mavs have the harder schedule and probably with finish a game or two back. but that means nothing really in the playoffs. the mavs have beaten the spurs in san antonio.

winning 3 of 7 titles means nothing this season. the first title is completely meaningless. that was a completely different team. and have the spurs shown they can do anything in the playoffs with duncan as limited as he is? and duncan been getting worse as the season goes on. i struggle to see the spurs as even a favorite anymore against the mavs. it could go either way.
Im gonna bet its gona be pistons because of their amazing chemistry and coaching.
I'd have to rank the title contenders as follows

1. Detroit Pistons
2. San Antonio Spuirs
3. Dallas Mavericks
4. New Jersey Nets
5. Cleveland Caveleirs
6. Sacramento Kings
7. Phoenix Suns
8. Miami Heat
9. LA Clippers
10. LA Lakers
11. Memphis Grizzlies
12. Chicago Bulls
13. Denver Nuggets
14. Washington Wizards
15. Milwaukee Bucks
16. Philidalphia 76ers

what people dont realize is that every year the spurs and dallas have a race to see who gets the division title. and every year the spurs win it. last yr the spurs won the division by only one game and the spurs went on to win the ship and the mavs didnt make it out of the 2nd round. spurs have a game lead over the mavs and the mavs have a tough tough schedule ahead compared to the spurs, well the last 5 games.
last yr the spurs were questioned about the capability to win the ship b/c of duncans foot, manus ankle and the team peaking at the right time. well the same questions are popping up and the spurs have a better record then they did last yr.

Yeah, and the Pistons weren't this good last year either.
