This is very annoying. You can tell he has NBA talent and can be a very good player in the future if he just gets some confidence. His defense is excellent, especially for a rookie, but why can't his confidence on D translate into confidence on O? He looks so nervous on the offensive end. He's afraid to make a mistake. When he shoots the ball, he guides the ball instead of shooting it with confidence. It's so annoying because he can be such a nice piece. Play your game Antoine! DON'T BE AFRAID.

'Twan is on the horns of a dilemma. On the one hand, he needs time to build confidence in his shot. On the other, he won't get 'nuff 'cept by playing D. Rooks don't get much time 'neither.

Best thing for him to do is practice shootin' 1000 shots before the game like Nenad does. Then, when he gets an open shot, he'll be too tired to think about it and he'll automatically drop it in.

'Twan appeared to be a very good shooter in college. He used the glass very well; shot the lights out from the perimeter; and was automatic from close range.

The problem is getting enough repetition on the big court in the NBA. Maybe, the hoops are smaller?

Since he never knows when Frank'll yank him, he's playing far too tentatively on offense. He's competing with Zoran, Murray, and who knows who else - and being a rookie, Frank isn't terribly disposed to give him too much rope - or at least that could be what's going on in his mind.

When Padgett made that comment about reserves looking over their shoulders after plays to see Frank's reactions... I'm wondering what he speaking for himself, or on behalf of guys whom he was talking to and him own take.

Good point.

As of now his best scoring weapon is the fastbreak. His shot is just not there yet, I really dont think its Frank's fault either. His sophomore season in college his shot was not there and he bounced back, I believe he can do the same here.

This isn't Frank's fault. It's Wright's confidence. He's trying to be unselfish, but right now, he's not sure when he's supposed to try and score and when he should pass. I know the kid has talent on both ends of the floor but he needs to be told to be more aggressive on offense.

But then again, when he's in with Kidd, Carter, or RJ, he probably knows they should have the ball in their hands and not a rookie.

He's part of the second unit and the pg for the majority of the PT he gets is Jacque Vaughn who does not like him fo rwhatever reason. He doesn't pass him the ball so that doesn't help his confidence seems everytime he does something on offense it's when VC Kidd or RJ give him the ball

he's a rookie... and he knows that if he takes 2 bad shots in a game L won't play him for the rest of the season lol.... i'm sure thats the main reason!

Sad part, I think, is that 'Twan's a volume shooter to be effective. He's not going to get the time to test that as a rookie given the only volume shooter on the team is Vince.

By the way, Zoran is also a volume shooter, but he's had more seasoning. Still, Rosen said the scouting report on Zoran was that he can drive and dish, but "can't shoot" from anywhere! Zoran looked terrific for six games in a row before regressing the last two. It's tought to be expected to make small, but significant, contributions, in limited minutes, when you know that's all you'll get. Sort of like giving a young Vince 10 mins here and there and expecting much from him.
