At shooting guard last year you had Q coming offf the bench and Eric Piatkowski starting. I know for some time he was injured but why even when Maggette was not hurt he was still rotting on the bench? He is a tad undersized at 3, so why not start him at shooting guard? It is not like there is a dominant force occupying that spot?

i say let Q start cuz he's obviously the best player on the team besides Elton Brand, and have Maggette back him up

The Clippers started Pike because he was a veteran.

Maggette being young, still had his ups and downs, and the team wanted a consistent vet presence in there at the start with everyone else.

Q didn't want to start. The team wanted him to, but he preferred to come off the bench, and the team obliged.

I do think they should've started Maggette over Pike(though Q is better than both), but I understand what they were thinking.

Maggette got similar minutes to Q when he was heatlhy. I think that Corey will soon be traded to a team where minutes are not a problem.
