Bad team defense, great man defense. Yes, he blew a few team help situations. But I'm not worried...he will learn them by next year.

Wright has actually been very good on help defense for a rookie.

He already shows he can run and defend if he can develop that jumpshot we know he has, he will be set. BTW Wright's jumpshot struggled his sophomore season in college but he bounced back, no reason it cant happen again.

Agreed. Wright's a shooter. It will come back with time and summer training. I'm still impressed with his legs. His defense and energy is much better than I expected.

He is coming along nicely. Not too fast, not too slow, just right.

I wouldn't call it horrible..in the context of what they were saying it may have been overstating things...it was along the defensive lines as being a good defender...in any case I don't see praising one of our guys horrible...perhaps a bit silly.

bad in terms of what? I'm sure Frank either A- stick with Rip and don't worry about helping out, or B- he was JUST trying to stick with Rip. All I know is Rip was 0/5....0/5!!! when Wright was on him like glue.

As if he knows a thing about what team assignments Wright "blew" and which he had nothing to do with.

If I didn't tape over the Pistons game with the Suns game I could give you minute by minute breakdown. There were a couple plays in the beginning of the 4th quarter where he didn't help on McDyess after McDyess got around Murray.

In the Phoenix game, he played good team defense, as seen by the block.
