Here is further proof sports has gone to hell in a handbasket: The Portland Trail Blazers have placed forward Ruben Patterson on the inactive list because of his actions Sunday in a loss to New York.....

......"It is clear to me that the Blazers have made a decision to develop younger players, which is their prerogative," Fegan told The Associated Press. "Unfortunately, Ruben Patterson is at the prime of his career, and his play merits more time than he is getting with the Blazers. As a result, I have had conversations with John Nash about how to best handle the situation."

How is any of this "clear" to Fegan? Did he play in the NBA, coach in the NBA, general manage? Does he attend practices, participate in team meetings? How does an agent conclude Patterson "merits more time," unless he's talking about jail time?.......

All players who went think they are better then they are.
All players that quit on teams when the chips are down.

Maybe they should have changed the name of the Cincinatti Bearcats to the Cincinatti Future-NBA Whiners.

if Ruben would realize that he's not actually a player who "merrits" more than 20 minutes a game, he'd actually become a much better player.

Ruben, stop thinking you're a PG or a guard. You can't dribble, you make horrible decisions on offense, and your game is as predictable as the sun coming up in the east is. You'll drive the lane (when it's crowded) and not pass out when you should.

Welcome to reality Ruben..you aren't that good, and you never were that good, to merrit much more than 20 minutes a night.
