wtf when are the blazers gonna pull together?

I'm a Nets fan, but i see so much potential on this team and good players. The Blazers are a team i enjoy watching, but do not get many chances. Being from the NY/NJ area and seen Telfair play i know he's a good player. You got a very solid center in Przybilla along with a good post up scorer in Zach. Darius Miles is also an explosive scorer too. I just don't see why they don't pull it together. Can anyone tell me why they aren't winning more games/playing up to there potential?? Frustrating..

Przybilla... injury prone, rarely plays.

Miles and "explosive" don't really go together. Everyone here is frustrated as hell with him.

Zach is coming back from injury and is still somewhat of a black hole.

Telfiar doesn't get the PT he deserves... Although we're definitely not a good team right now, this season was a pure trial and I'd expect to see some continuity and growth next year. This should be a huge offseason for us where we should see some big changes... hopefully.

Agree with most except why do you see this summer as huge. I think the Blazers hands are tied (with salary cap and Paul wnating to sell the team)
Huge as in being important for us in terms of establishing who our keepers are. Everyone wants to PG situation resolved, Joel might not be back, Darius might... MIGHT be traded. A lot rides on what happens with Paul Allen
I also forgot that we're gonna have a really high draft pick.
I've been very impressed with Dmiles of the little i've seen. Seems to be athletic, can run the floor, put it on floor, post up, shoot. Seems like a quality player. Guess i'm missing alot?

He is all of that. He is, unfortunately, also incredibly lazy.

Yeah you have. A lot of the games he just mails in and doesn't give a ****. He's pissed off almost the whole fan base.

Telfair, is definitely gonna be special, I just don't get why Nate insists on still starting Blake, who has someone sucked tonight other than his assist total.

Lazy? What comes to my mind isn't lazy, it's incredibly disinterested, with a tendency to daydream. It's as though there're a dozen things more fascinating he could be thinking/doing than playing ball, and he kinda vaguely wonders why he isn't thinking/doing one of them.

You're lucky you don't have to watch him every game like we do. The guy is on another planet, and I don't mean that in a good way. He runs up and down the court on auto-pilot with a blank look on his face most of the time. You'd swear he's upset because someone actually asked him to put on his gym shoes and play basketball for a couple of hours.

I think its sad to waste God given talent.
Darius has given Blazers fan many sad nights over the past couple years, that's for sure.
Darius makes Derek Coleman look like a value

..but..but..he's our 2nd best player...
Another dog-pile on Darius thread. Wow... shocking.

He was never as good as some of the people on this board thought he was, and he's not nearly as bad as some of you are making him out to be.

We really really really need to get a star or at least players that show heart.I want a roster that has these players on this team no including who we trade for.
Pg-Telfair,Jack(blake is good but he deserves a good team he showed the other pg what it takes to be a good pg.
Sg(Webster,Lenard if we can get him cheap),Kareem rush
Sf,Kryapha,Miles,Tlaw if we can get him cheap
PfKryapha,Skinner
C Skinner,Ha,Pryz but thats doubt full.
Z-bo,Theo,Dixon,Blake should be traded.

What do you mean by "defensive"? I've got nothing to be defensive about. I am not a big Miles fan, I was one that thought we overpaid him immediately after we signed him to the deal, and I have long criticized him for being overhyped going back to the Clippers board on Fanhome.

But you all are in some sort of feeding frenzy over Darius, seemingly unwilling to understand that his play might be adversely impacted by his injured knee or by the simple fact that the team's constant losing has worn him down.

Add to this that most Darius detractors don't offer an alternative other than giving him away for salary relief--which will push us further away from playoff contention for the next year, at least--and it's frustrating for me.

People wanted Rasheed gone. They wanted Bonzi gone. They wanted Damon and DA and Ruben gone, too. Those people have got their way and this team is absolutely terrible. Continuing to rip on our best players because they fail to meet some arbitrary level of hustle or production, and focusing the majority of the wrath of losing on this one player (rather than the management that put together a team incapable of winning) is repeating the same line of *****ing and moaning that helped get this team to the sorry place that it is today.

That's the first good point you've made in weeks.
