I'm thinking 16-20 ppg....explosive scorer, mediocre defender, great dunker too. Pity the Kings had to put him on the list.
Whoa. You expect 16-20 ppg from him? In his first season getting minutes. What has shown you so far that he could get those kind of numbers? Serious question...

I think Wallace is gonna have a nice season for the Bobcats. He's one of those guys that just needs PT to show what he can do and now he has the chance to. He should score a lot of points because I mean, who else is gonna score for the Cats? They're gonna have a bad season though, but he should be one of their bright spots. So basically I'm expecting Wallace to bust out this season and be one of the Bobcats' best players along with Okafor.

He cant shoot, but he can get to the hoop and finish nicely, which is better than anyone else on the Bobcats can say. So he will get plenty of touches.

Wallace is a tremendous athlete and hustle player, but I've always questioned his toughness and have often wondered if he's too fragile. He continually suffered injuries with the Kings, sometimes very tick tacky looking injuries, all while playing extremely limited minutes. I'm not sure he'll be a good starter with the Cats, or start at all.

That said, if he can stay healthy and play starter minutes (35+), I think he'll go 15-8-3. For those of you that don't know, Wallace is a great rebounder for his position, which is why I predict 8 rpg (assuming he doesn't play injured).

I'm just saying the guy hasn't avg. over 10 points a game since leaving HS 4 years ago. Do you really think some more PT, is going to give him avgs. between 16-20?

He will be shooting 35% or lower from the field to avg. that many points. I mean he doesn't have a jumpshot. Is he going to get all of his points from layups and dunks? Not to mention they have crap point guards. I think he is going get 11 ppg maybe a point or two more.

How is Gerald Wallace better than Greg Anthony? I mean what has he proven to be better than him? He will have no proven PG's getting him the ball and you expect him to excel with his first season as a first option on offense?

Please explain why.

because Greg Anthony was a frickin scrub before he was drafted, backup PG with no jumpshot. (only known for his D...)

Wallace has shown flashes, I think he can get 14-16 easily but probably will not shoot above 42%

but who else is going to score? by default someone on that team will have to crack the double digits, and they really have no options at all..

Someone is going to have to score. Even if the Bobcats only score .95 points per possession (which would make them the worst offensive team in the league, easily), they're still going to score 85 points per game as a team. Someone on that team is going to score at least 16 PPG, you can take that to the bank. If it's not going to be Wallace, who will it be? Emeka Okafor? Eddie House? Jason Kapono? None of them have proven they can score in the league either, but someone on the team will.

I agree with EHL in that I'm not sure Wallace will even start, but if he does, he's very likely to score 18 PPG.

He's still not proven himself to be that dynamic of a scorer. He's not going to be a threat from the perimeter, and is going to be a very streaky shooter. That means he's going to get 18 ppg on fast breaks and from the FT line? I doubt it. Like I said, the Bobcats will keep him on the floor because of the x factor he provides on the boards and defense, IMO not as an offensive option.

I see Eddie House and Okafor leading the team in PPG.

I think Eddie House is a likely candidate to lead the team in scoring if he gets the playing time. Not that Eddie House is good, but if there's one thing he's going to do when he's on the court is shoot the ball. With him being as streaky as he is, he's still more of a consistent outside shooter than Gerald Wallace.

just because the rest of your team sucks it doesnt mean that you are going to get alot of points. id like to write more but im 2 lazy

He'll have worse stats than Lawrence Funderburke!

If Emeka isn't their leading scorer, then House probably will. He dropped 71 or 72 in a college game.

Just the fact that he's such a good slasher. I don't think he's going to be knocking down the jumpers, but slashing, dunking, getting to the line. Like ArtestFan said, somebody has to score.
