Great scoring point guard from Davidson. Averaged 21 points as a freshman and led his team to the ncaa's. Definitely has to work on his passing skills, but at Davidson he doesn't have a choice

Do you realize if this dude played for a team like Syracuse he would be considered unguardable on the college level? Of course he's not a future superstar point, but he's going to be just like his father on the pro level, just as the point position. That's pretty good coming from a kid who wasn't even recruited by anyone other than Davidson.

I am still sticking with the Ellis comparison

What NBA caliber guards did West Virginia have again? Awesome college player but I still don't see him being anything more than an average Point in the NBA.
You speak like this is the first time we have seen him play, or the first time he has put up gaudy numbers. This guy was torching teams throughout the tourney, and its not like he goes one on one most of the time. Its against doubles often.

He also had 8 turnovers with those 10 assists.
Considering the way defenses play him, and the caliber of teammates he has, I'd say getting 10 assists last night was pretty good. I mean Wade averages close to 4 TO per game in the NBA. The fact that they even won that game with the way his teammates played is due to how good of a player he is.

Yes I agree with you. I'm one of Gordon's biggest supporter and I think he might have reached his ceiling. Gordons biggest asset is his shooting ability and his strong physique.

I put Gordon's shooting ability somewhere between Jamal Crawford (streaky volume shooter) and Michael Redd (good shooter). Gordon is streaky but better than Crawford and less consistent than Redd. I think it has a lot to do with his strong physique which gives him a good balance when shooting the ball or shooting those floaters. His athleticism I think is average. But his strong body makes up for it.

Stephen Curry despite looking like a volume shooter, I think will be a much more efficient scorer in the NBA. Because in college, he's basically asked to put up those shots. He's already a good shooter in the first place. But other expect of his game that I don't see in guys like Gibson or Reddick is Curry's craftiness. He has good enough handle and court vision to find a way to score. And he's very quick unlike Reddick.

The Bulls actually don't need Gordon to score 20 every night. In the future we're hoping Rose and Deng take the main scorer roles. I actually like Gordon to handle the ball less and find more open looks. I think Curry can play that role and his handles, craftiness, quickness allow him to occassionally drive to the basket when needed.

steph curry definatly has the court vision but he just needs to not force some passes

also it looked like he was just trying to stay within the offense and prove he is a point guard throughout the game and than at the end when they were down he finally set in and played his game

I mean west virginia is athletic enough to keep with curry the whole game cuz they know what kind of damage he can cause...
so unless he tries to create himself they weren't about to give him no shots with the flow of the offense
so until the end of the game, when he knew he had to create shots himself or they would lose, it seemed he just tried to be a point guard a little too hard
he has the skill as he proved with the 10 assists but he has to play his own game instead of trying to be something he isn't.
He is no john stockton and his team mates aren't bad but they aren't pro level talents by any means

Here's a nice article about his brother Seth

Through 11 games, Curry is averaging 19.7 points and is shooting 40 percent from 3-point range. Those are eerily similar numbers to Stephen's first 10 college games, which produced an average of 19.2 points and 39.7 percent 3-point accuracy (but from the shorter line).

"He's very similar to his dad and his brother," George Mason coach Jim Larranaga said. "He's a great shooter. He's very poised. He really understands offensive basketball. He doesn't hold onto the ball too long, and he's a good team guy. I think he'll be an All-American someday."

McKay compares Curry's potential to that of Indiana Pacers standout Danny Granger, whom he coached at New Mexico. Granger, a 6-9 forward, currently is tied for fifth in the NBA in scoring at 24.4 points per game.

Umm have you looked at the teammates Curry plays with? Do you realize teams dont even bother covering some of those guys. Now compare that with Harden's teammates and it makes Curry's stats even more impressive.

Dude is on an island out there.

P.S. Pac 10 competition isn't that great either

Stephen Curry = Juan Dixon or Mike Bibby?

I just thought I would throw this out there. Do you think Curry will end up more like a Juan Dixon type, good scorer but not able to play point full time, or will he be more like a Mike Bibby, not a league leader in assists, but capable of running a team for many years in the NBA?

I picked Juan because of the similar body types, not bulky and strong. I picked Bibby because he is a career 6.1 assist per game guy, gets the job done at the point, but scores the ball well. He excels with Joe Johnson beside him.
