Yeah, Albany following a couple BOS-area AAU Twitter feeds and just goin’ HAM. I know some of the ‘27s and remains to be seen if some will become D1 prospects.

 

Albany's offer sprees have been spurred by two things:

1) Clout chasing from their head coach who believes this is an essential program builder tactic. Mostly because he has very little else to build off of from his tenure.

2) Both assistant and head coach offering guys they know they can't get, now, but maybe later, whether that be at Albany or another institution that employs them after 2026.

 

It begins. Cats' first offer for 2026. Madden Smiley, 6-3 guard from Windsor, CO (northern Colorado, up by Fort Collins). But speaking of Northern Colorado, his dad is the head coach at UNC, so...

Any news of visits for UVM(?) this Fall.

Would think this weekend for Akron soccer game would be pretty good weekend to do that.

 

First visit info that I've seen, anyway: we had Camarion Bead on campus last weekend. 6-2 PG from Arkansas.

 

I am staying at the Renaissance in Pittsburgh. Duquesne is running their major fall recruiting event visits. Whole staff (but for Dru Joyce) here...and they are bringing in quite a haul. I heard they got some decent NIL money and wonder if they will come close to VCU's $4 million house spending.

 

Maine gets gets commitment #2 for 2026.....

That's my reaction to every piece of recruiting or transfer news at our level. Who knows.

 

Chose UMBC over Lowell, Albany, American and others.
