Ambidextrous Ballers?

Has it been done? Can it be done?

I'm not talking someone who can dribble with their non-preferred, or dunk with the left... I'm saying someone who can do absolutely everything, dribble, lay-up, crossover and most importantly shoot with their non-preferred hand at no more than -5% than their preferred.

Wouldn't it be the ultimate weapon? You can pull up, and the defender doesn't know which side to defend you on. Would be incredibly handy when trying to get a game-winner off, for instance.

AI shot half of his 3point competition's shots with his left, he's as close as i've seen in the nba, he doesn't have a weak hand. lebron finishes amazingly well with both hands (i think he'll end pretty close to perfectly ambidextrous for bball).

and stro swift can throw perfect windmills with both hands. :D

This isn't really NBA-related, but when I was like 12-13 at basketball camp, we had a local DII ball player come visit us who could use either hand equally as well as the other. He did a demonstration for us where he shot one handed shots and did some fancy dribbles using only one hand at a time, and looked just as good with both hands. He said he was naturally a lefty, but one spring he injured that arm badly and couldn't use it to play ball for something like 6 months. He didn't want to stop playing completely though, so he did dribbling and shooting exercises with his right. I guess six months of using only your bad hand makes it pretty good.

Larry Bird was. He did everything with his left hand such as writing, holding a fork, but he shot with his right hand and occasionally his left. That is as close as I ever saw.

I think tpb2 said that LeBron eats and writes with his left hand and all that... he certainly looks just as comfortable using it as he does using his right. I think he stands out to me as the most dramatically ambidexterous player in the league. He does things with his left hand that most of the league can't do with their right.

Kobe shoots left-handed sometimes. ;) Though he misses by a foot.

Tom Chambers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but, I remember hearing about him breaking his hand or something, and he trained himself to shoot with his weaker hand while the other was injured, and then when it healed he could use both hands.

Also, Kenny Thomas of the Sixers can post up with either hand, which is really the thing he's best at, sometimes he surprises defenders by going with his left hand when they were expecting the other.

Jordan practiced shooting with both hands which he said made him twice the threat because he'd be comfortable going up with either hand or adjusting his shot.

Drew Neitzel, a HS senior who will be goin to Mich. State next year is ambidexterous. I've heard that he has played some games shooting with his left hand from the left and his right hand from the right.
I also read in the newspaper that he can consistently nail 3 pt. shots with either hand.

I remember in a game against the Pacers, on one play LeBron drove past Ron Artest to the left and then laid it up high off the glass over Jermaine O'Neal with his left hand... and made it look like it was nothing. It was
