is there a ASun forum for Edition to go bother their fans?

Wonder what commitment level of other teams are could see a team or two look to jump a sinking ship and get another league like Big South and maybe Florida Golf Coast uses their newfound brand to try and land elsewhere but probably not too many options for many of those schools as the other leagues are pretty full.

It will be interesting to see what does happen with the Atlantic Sun. Here are the schools that have left within the last 10-12 years:

2003 - Samford (Ohio Valley, then Southern Conf), Jacksonville State (Ohio Valley)
2005 - Central Florida (C-USA, then American), Georgia State (CAA, then Sun Belt), Troy (Sun Belt)
2006 - Florida Atlantic (Sun Belt, then C-USA)
2008 - Gardner Webb (Big South)
2011 - Campbell (Big South)
2012 - Belmont (Ohio Valley)
2014 - East Tennessee State (Southern Conf), Mercer (Southern Conf)
2015 - Northern Kentucky (Horizon)

Phew, that's a lot of movement with 12 schools having left during that time period. Here are their current members:

Florida Gulf Coast (Fort Myers, FL)
Jacksonville Univ (Jacksonville, FL)
Kennesaw State (Kennesaw, GA)
Lipscomb (Nashville, TN)
North Florida (Jacksonville, FL)
South Carolina Upstate (Spartanburg, SC)
Stetson (Deland, FL)

Do a couple of those schools seek "greener" pastures?
Are there schools in their southeastern corner of the country that aren't happy in their current situation?

Kennesaw State is currently an associate member of the Big South for football, so I can certainly see them leaving the A-Sun for full memebership in Big South in the future.

There are a ton of D2 schools in that part of the country some that could probably be pretty decent D1 schools my guess is that is where they would explore. i just have no idea what those schools are or would be. being in situation with only 7 might be smart to try and add 2-3 to go to 9-10 if at all possible.
But not sponsoring football eliminates many options down in that area too since a bunch have football or are starting it at D2 level.
If they can't get 2 schools and one other bolts my guess is RIP ASun.

They'll get move ups. North Alabama has been sniffing around for a D-I conference for years. Florida has a million schools like U.Tampa, Rollins, Ave Maria, Southeastern, Broward, etc. Especially now that for profit schools are in play.

The A-Sun is like the A-East, there are always break glass in case of emergency schools around.
