Alfond Stadium will look much different in the next couple years. I saw one rendering where the visitor side bleachers look larger in capacity than the current bleachers ( the new visitor bleachers look possibly to hold between 3-5k as the current hold about 2k). Plus there will be seats attached to Morse Arena The reason for increasing the capacity is for other events, such as concerts and graduations. The new set up at Alfond stadium looks like they would be able to have the stage being in front of the large scoreboard. Now this may conflict with Bangor's outdoor concert venue, but I would argue competition is great, even in the great northwoods of Maine. My guess is the new capacity for Alfond Stadium will be around 12k even though they barely get over 7k for a home game.
