Bryant has purchased Parente's Restaurant which is located in front of its campus near the main entrance. It appears that the school will operate it as a Bryant themed restaurant gathering hub for its campus community and alumni.

Bryant buys Parente's
Good! Parente’s had opposed Bryant opening a “Bulldog Bistro” due to “unfair” competition? Gimme a break….maybe Parente’s was afraid that their 4.1 star rating wouldn’t hold up?🙄 Great purchase by Bryant….the restaurant sits on 4 acres of adjacent property….who could blame them even if they tore the restaurant down.

I really just dropped by to say that I'm fairly sure I ate there years ago when I went to a UVM game down at Bryant, because I think we stayed at that hotel down at the intersection and wanted to get something to eat close to campus before the game...and, not having scouted really well, we were not prepared for that to be like the only thing that qualified as "something close to campus." Food was ok. I think.

Also wasn't prepared to have to stop at the security booth to tell them I was here to see a basketball game. Interesting experience, all around.

I'm not sure how much it has changed over the past 20 years, but Parente's was always the spot with exclusively Bryant students with the occassional walk to "The Last Resort" which is a few miles away.

As for the security gate, it impacted students too. During the day on a weekday you would hold up your ID and just get to drive back in. If it was evening or weekend they always checked your trunk for alcohol. So obviously, every student knew to do alcohol runs during the day on a weekday.

Well we knew they were replacing the field but to me the new stuff goes beyond where the track would go…. unsure of what they are doing but if they remove the track and end up with 6-8K seats it will be a big positive.

They aren't removing the track or adding any seating. This was simply a turf/track replacement. The Bobby V. student health and recreation center in the far end is very nice facility, but isn't for varsity athletics and was added a few years ago.

The track which used to go between the field and the field house is now gone….. with turf covering it. Maybe it’s just temporary. Why bother spending the money to put all the extra turf down though…. They are absolutely going to Increase seating capacity over the next 1-10 years. They were at 4100 yesterday and have been in the 8-10k range for homecoming and parents weekend the last 2 years. They know they need more seats.

who knows maybe they keep the track there but are going to wait till after the season to install it.

My understanding was they are removing the track and updating the visitor stands, per reports.

Agreed. Sadly for UNH that won’t happen.
Happy for Maine and (if true) SHU though. Tracks are terrible for football venues.
I was told UNH's long term facility plan is to build a basketball/volleyball facility somewhere else on campus. Then remove the track/Lundholm Gym and bump the football field closer to the current stands. Replacing Lundholm would be new seating attached to a new athletic facility. They just resurfaced the track at Wildcat stadium so go figure. I heard this during a tour of the new Wildcat stadium.
