They really let ANYONE have the password on this dumpster fire of an account:

Look, if Albany managed to fire Killings and pull in Rob Senderhoff, the Kent State coach who is is an Albany alum, and has won 62% of his games at Kent State with only 2 losing conference seasons in 14 years at the helm, massive congratulations, Albany would be back and order would be restored in the world. But, why in the absolute fuck would Senderhoff want to take this job unless there's some strong pull for him to get back to his alma mater?

Good time to be a Richmond alum with little college coaching experience...you can get a head coaching job easily!

Not entirely sold on this trend of NBA second-row assistants jumping the line over many good college level coaches, particularly at the lower reaches of the game, but good luck to Iona. Hope he, like the other Richmond alum that got the Radford job, has a big NIL backer coming with him.

As someone else said to me this am, welcome to silly season. I agree with this wholeheartedly, and I knew Rob somewhat well when we were at UA. Unless the money has dried at Kent State from a NIL perspective, this would be a small (not huge) downgrade. The salary at UA would be better, no doubt...and newer (yet smaller) facilities. He is from Spring Valley...but still, can't see this move happening.

In addition to the above, there have been rumors over the years that UA, SBU, and Bing were approached by the MAC (i can confirm the UA ones as Kermit Hall flat out told me that was where we were moving to before his untimely passing). If the league ever got crazy and invited Albany, SBU, and Bing, you could add those 3 to UMASS and Buffalo and have a nice regional 5 team pod in a 15 team league. I could then see Rob wanting to make the move.

All of the above is pure supposition at this point, and i think we are all on a five year plan. From those I trust in the industry (media and coaching/athletic department), the big blowup will be five years out and i think many leagues and what NCAA D1 is will be dramatically different.

So, no, I do not see Rob coming though I would embrace it and he would do well. Patrick Sellers (Fairfield Frank mention) would be interesting and he would more than double his CCSU salary.

While that makes sense in on paper, a LOT would have to have changed at UB, SBU, and UMASS for them to want to join up with Albany and Bing again (and for UB to want to join up with ANY other SUNY schools, for that matter).

UL-Monroe reportedly will promote Phil Cunningham to head coach. Was the coach at Troy for 6 mostly forgettable seasons until getting axed in 2019. Then he worked for Rick Stansbury at WKU, up to the point where Stansbury "resigned." Then he was at ULM last season, watching his boss get fired. But yeah, sure, he's your guy. Whatever.

Nothing super relevant today in the Daily Dirt, but I know some will find this snippet interesting:

The hottest name to replace recently retired Jeff Brown at Middlebury is outgoing Columbia assistant Jake Brown. Brown had been at Columbia since 2021 and has also worked at NJIT and Howard. He is also a Middlebury alum, a two-time captain for the Panthers, and won two NESCAC Championships as a player.

Yeah, a lot of the younger Midd hoops alums have been rallying around Jake and making the push for him. I tend to think he's going to get it, and it's a good hire. He's young, has good high-academic recruiting experience, and gets the place. People can say what they want about those Columbia years, but that roster had talent. Lots of those Columbia guys with eligibility left who enter the portal are going to be sought out. Eddine Bedri and Noland especially. I'd be fascinated to know what went wrong once conference play hit.

There's a former (think more recent) UVM assistant who has attempted to get in the mix at Midd too, but I don't think that got far. Speaking of Columbia, hopefully Tobe Carberry can find a gig this offseason. Jesse Agel is probably at the end of the line for his coaching career, however.

That seems it would be a strong hire for Middlebury. I would imagine Tobe Carberry lands on his feet. He's got a good reputation. D2 New Haven just opened so maybe he's ready rto be a HC. Jesse I think could still land somewhere. Maybe not in an assistants role but one of those "Special Assistants to the HC" type title. He's connected and say what you want, he is a good basketball mind. A staff could still benefit from his knowledge.

Willy the Kid back in the big time. Amazing move for NC State. The ACC needed a guy like this in their league to shore them up from being a running joke. Only crime the man ever committed was being ahead of his time with strong ass offers.

And in the BIG news of the day, Chicago State looks to be hiring Alcorn State head coach Landon Bussie:
