Interesting, none of the major recruiting sites had him associated with Dayton at all. Along wit Amzil, gives UD an excellent incoming class. Paraphrasing a phrase from the past, Anthony Grant needs to put them in a position to win.

Dayton has a highly related ( at least on paper) recruiting class coming in. They've now added a transfer in Camara and are in the mix for a guard transfer and former top 50 recruit from Michigan State. Watson, I think would want minutes to improve his chances of playing professionally overseas. If he gets them at UD, it'll slow the development of the younger guards, and if he doesn't get them I wouldn't think he'd be a happy Flyer.

Hopefully Cohill is fully recovered from his injury and finds a program that works for him. Supposedly prior to the recent commitment of transfer Richard Amaefule, Dayton was looking to adding a guard. I wonder if Cohill's announcement was with the knowledge someone else is joining the backcourt.

It's my understanding Koby Brea is having surgery on both his legs, and Mali Smith on both his ankles. depending on what the surgeons discover, rehab progression, and then getting into basketball shape, I would think its going to be difficult for them to go when the season starts. I wonder if they might be better served to take a medical redshirt for the year like Mikesell did a few years ago.

Isaac Jack is a 6' 11" big from Canada who played his freshman year at Buffalo. While he did not amass impressive stats at Buffalo, his first basket as a Flyer will be more of a contribution then the two bigs who transferred out (Amafeule & Baker) contributed

Natural progression. P5/BE/MM. We should have a thread devoted to star rankings and how meaningful they are. BR's head would explode.
A few years ago it was alleged that numerous subscribers to a well known ratings site would cancel their subscriptions because their football commitments did not include enough 4& 5 star players. The author of the ratings was asked to change his ratings and when he didn't, he was terminated. A lot of stars for someone your school is recruiting is nice, but I'm more interested in what other schools are after him.

Dayton has received a commitment from Nate Santos a 6'7" small forward who is transferring from Pitt where averaged 10 minutes per game and 2 ppg. He'll have two years of eligibility. The Flyers have one remaining scholarship available.

There are a lot of negatives associated with college athletics especially those involving revenue sports. This event is a truly positive story that should pick-up media attention on a national level, and be replicated elsewhere. OSU and Coach Holtmann deserve kudos for agreeing to participate.

Anthony Grant continues to restock his United Nations Team, bringing in players from Canada, Serbia and Lithuania. I'm guessing with these cold weather newcomers he wants to be prepared if the Flyers play in Olean. Petras may be a talent in the making.
The thought of Bill being a member of LDS, set off the Richter Scale in Salt Lake.

Dayton returns from an overseas trip to Spain and France tomorrow. Their roster lists 18 players with 6 being walk-ons, one of whom is Grant's son. Those of you with math skills may wonder about the 13th scholarship schools are allowed to have. Well, it went to a Serbian big man who arrived and practiced with the team for a few days and left for home before the ink stamp on his passport was dry. Homesickness, family illness or maybe realizing his skillset was not developed enough for this level are possible reasons.
