I blame you idiots for the closing of Extra Billy's.
Not sure why I want to know what you mean but....what do you mean? Extra Billy's on Broad near Willow Lawn. Pretty far from VCU. Are you talking Richmond in general? Extra Billy's would still be here if they could have come up with a good business plan. I was never a fan of the barbecue though.

Ha, that was my thought, too. I don't remember their food being that good.

Buz & Ned's was much better.

As a person who has tasted a lot of BBQ, theirs was not bad. I also enjoyed the ambiance.
An added plus is that it was near UR when we use to visit our daughter there all the time.
When we'd get into Richmond late on a Friday night, it was open and serving, and unlike some BBQ places (especially in the South) it had a liquor license.
We also enjoyed the Tavern on Patterson, and really liked the North Pole in Crozier.
McClean's on Broad for breakfast.

Jack Brown's, near the UR campus, is one of my go-tos. Open late, great food, only beer though, no liquor or wine. And it's definitely a VCU crowd despite its location.

A recommendation....go to zzq in Scott's Addition. You can get liquor and some lip smacking bbq. If you want to go to Mclean's it is nearby.

If we ever get back that way, I'll meet you at one of those fine places. You can bring your UR better half to meet us. And since you'll be the host...pick up the tab 😅
