I blame you idiots for the closing of Extra Billy's.
Not sure why I want to know what you mean but....what do you mean? Extra Billy's on Broad near Willow Lawn. Pretty far from VCU. Are you talking Richmond in general? Extra Billy's would still be here if they could have come up with a good business plan. I was never a fan of the barbecue though.

Ha, that was my thought, too. I don't remember their food being that good.

Buz & Ned's was much better.

As a person who has tasted a lot of BBQ, theirs was not bad. I also enjoyed the ambiance.
An added plus is that it was near UR when we use to visit our daughter there all the time.
When we'd get into Richmond late on a Friday night, it was open and serving, and unlike some BBQ places (especially in the South) it had a liquor license.
We also enjoyed the Tavern on Patterson, and really liked the North Pole in Crozier.
McClean's on Broad for breakfast.

Jack Brown's, near the UR campus, is one of my go-tos. Open late, great food, only beer though, no liquor or wine. And it's definitely a VCU crowd despite its location.

A recommendation....go to zzq in Scott's Addition. You can get liquor and some lip smacking bbq. If you want to go to Mclean's it is nearby.

Well, I heard the name the other day along with Efton Reid, Roosevelt Wheeler and Jason Nelson....Joe Bamisile. He is the first VCU commitment in the "rebuild" and it sounds like Odom wanted him. My friend told me Odom felt like he was a baller and can shoot. Bamisile played a Va Tech, GW where is did well with minutes then Oklahoma where he did not play much. I am not a fan of all the movement but I like that he is a hometown guy and I like the experience he brings because he has to be 23. I think he still has two years of eligibility.

I heard some real interesting things just now when I got the call about Bamisile. Take it with a grain of salt but this information has been good so far.

~First it sounds like Bamisile will get a waiver.

~Micheal Belle may have already committed. He was being recruited Utah State and Dayton. Rumor is that Anthony Grant is about to retire so he popped for VCU. He plays in a Pro League in France.

~Shulga and Bairstow still sounds promising.

~Robbie Beran may still be in play. He played at Northwestern. If UVA is not in the way he might pop for VCU.

~Reid, Wheeler and Nelson are in play and on campus tomorrow.

~Odom is working the portal hard over high school right now because it is a known commodity and too late for high school recruiting right now.

~International connections are big and expect more Euro players. He had some big wigs involved in international hoops at the BDC the other day.

Belle has been mentioned on the UD Rivals board with Odom recruiting him heavily. Grant’s retirement rumor was put to bed weeks ago though. In fact he will have OV’s this weekend

If you guys don’t play “Michelle” by The Beatles for a French kid named Michael Belle, you’re goddamn lunatics.
He is British and plays in a French league but that would be funny.
